"pubs can be magical places where all sorts of different groups of people meet, mingle and relax together. A place where you can share imaginative fresh food and quenching drinks, all served by exceptional teams who are obviously engaged by their work. Pubs can and should be like this"

The Village Hall Fete

Sunday 14th September 2008   Motor Neurone Disease Association

Gold Hill Common

Rasing money for the Chalfont St Peter Youth Centre and The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association)

Every year the Village Hall Pub brings members of the community together with its annual 5-a-side football tournament.  This year, however, we feel it needs something more, so we have teamed up with our event organising company to bring the first Village Hall Fete to Chalfont St Peter.  The Fete will be held on Sunday 14th September on Gold Hill Common (opposite the village hall pub).

Proposed attractions include

  • Farmers Market – with stalls of lovely locally produced and natural foods, drinks and produce for you to sample and buy.
  • Children’s Entertainment Area – with a bouncy castle, face painting, petting zoo and games for all ages
  • Food stalls – including hog-roast, ice cream, BBQ
  • Beer and Wine Tent with beer garden - sample some great British ales and ciders, and worldly wines, with tasting notes and descriptions
  • 5-a-side Football Tournament – running throughout the day teams will try to win the honour of being crowned Chalfont St Peters best 5-a-side team

Additional Entertainment will be provided across the road at The Village Hall Pub to include live bands in the evening and the winner’s ceremony for the football tournament.

Further details will be released closer to date.

Proceeds from the Fete will be donated to Chalfont St Peter Youth Group and Motor Neurone Disease Association.  For further information about these organisations please click on their logos at the top of the page.
